OUR BELIEFS

Grace is central to Presbyterian beliefs. Grace is God’s action on behalf of creation for healing, restoration and forgiveness. In Jesus Christ, we see God’s grace embodied. His life, death and resurrection form the nature of God’s gracious action that reaches out to restore the brokenness of creation. God’s grace claims and calls us to faithfulness. We respond to this grace in offering our lives in service to God and God’s world. As those who have been loved by God, we are called to love. As those who have been healed, we are to heal. As those who have been offered forgiveness, we are to be agents of restoration and forgiveness in the world. All of the rest of understandings and beliefs flow out of this core concept of grace.
