Associate Pastor

Reports To: Pastor, Head of Staff

Job Summary: The Associate Pastor supports the vision of Palms and assists with implementing the strategy for the Palms community. This position serves a key function in leading the Pastoral Care, Serve and Disciple Connection ministries. The position supports the Pastor and the Worship Ministry in the worship life of the congregation. The Associate Pastor is responsible for resourcing and assisting the global and local missions. The Associate Pastor leads the Deacon Ministry of the church.

Preschool Director

Reports To: Pastor, Head of Staff

Job Summary: We are looking for a full-time Preschool Director to lead Palms Preschool and Child Care Center. The director is responsible for leadership, management, and administrative functions necessary to the preschool and child care center in a manner that is programmatically, fiscally and strategically consistent with the mission of the Palms Presbyterian Church, Florida Department of Children & Families (DCF), and the National Association of the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Applicants must have Florida Director Level 2 credentials.

Children’s Ministry Coordinator

Reports To: Pastor, Head of Staff

Job Summary: The Children’s Ministry Coordinator has the primary responsibility for the church’s ministry to children (birth through grade 5) and their families. This person will work to strengthen and expand our children’s ministry, both on Sunday mornings and during the week, and work cooperatively with the pastoral and program staff to ensure that all who participate in the life of the church have the opportunity to engage in meaningful faith formation. This is a part-time salaried position that would average up to 20 hours a week.

Preschool Teacher / Assistant Teacher

Reports To: Director of Palms Preschool

Working Hours: The preschool is open Monday – Friday 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. Work hours would include either a full-time or part-time shift during these hours.

Palms Preschool has openings for teachers and assistant teachers. If you love working with children, please consider applying. Candidates should be energetic, outgoing, and enjoy working in a team environment. We require the applicant to have their high school diploma; 45 DCF hours and/or a CDA is preferred.
